1903 Léopold installs the village’s first press, which he puts at the disposal of wine merchants and major champagne houses.
1906 He creates the first grapevine nursery to be actively engaged in replanting the vineyards ravaged by the phylloxera crisis, along with 4 visionary colleagues. Their work leads to the rebirth of Champagne’s vineyards.
